Notes: Son of Abner Robbins who was born in New Jersey and Jemima Brown who was born in Ireland.

Married Mary Richard on October 23, 1856 in Marshall, Iowa. To this union were born Henry and Mary Ellen 'Nellie' Robbins. Nellie is also buried here at Acton Cemetery.

Mary Richard died young and Mr. Robbins re-married to Mary Melrose on June 13, 1865 at Clarion, Wright County, Iowa. To this union were born Laura Eugenia and Mattie Laura Robbins. Mattie is also buried here at Acton Cemetery.

South Antelope Valley Press, Thursday, October 26, 1933, page 2, under the column 'Ten Years Today: "Mr. J. E. Robbins passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Arthur S. Hubbard near Acton. He was 91 years old."
