Notes: | A pioneer of the Antelope Valley. Postmistress at Del Sur for many years. Her story told in local books. Daughter of Frederick and Maria (Hinks) Spencer. Married Matthew Forsyth on April 26, 1877 at Hockley, All Saints, Warwickshire, England. To this couple were born Howard Matthew, Nellie, Arthur, Dora and Eric Forsyth (the first four in England, Eric in California). After the passing of Matthew, Elizabeth re-married to Joseph E. Johnson, circa July 1892. To this couple were born Roy Forsyth Johnson and Carrie M. Johnson.
